Tuple Item Assignment Fails

point = (10, 20)
coords = [10, 20]

coords[0] = 99

try:
    point[0] = 99
except TypeError as e:
    print("TypeError:", e)

print(coords, point)

What does this print?

The script raises TypeError: 'list' object does not support item assignment on the very first assignment and never reaches the try block.

B

TypeError: 'tuple' object does not support item assignment [99, 20] (10, 20)

C

TypeError: 'tuple' object does not support item assignment [99, 20] (99, 20)

D

No exception is raised anywhere, and the final line prints [99, 20] (99, 20).
