Unlike NeetCode's strict linear ordering where beginners feel like they must follow each step religiously, that approach is often detrimental to learning. Our roadmap is designed for flexibility. You can skip around based on your needs and interests. The earlier stages represent the highest ROI topics that are most applicable to real interviews, but don't feel locked into a rigid path. Jump to what interests you, revisit fundamentals when needed, and build your understanding organically rather than mechanically.

Competitive programming is a superset of Leetcode and interview problems. We want to demystify this stigma where competitive programming problems is "scary" or "irrelevant" or "overkill" for interviews. The fundamental techniques transfers 100% to interviews, and there's amazing resources out there. AtCoder and CSES offer cleaner problem statements, better test cases, and force you to understand the underlying algorithm rather than pattern-matching to a LeetCode template.

Those resources train memorization, not thinking. Video formats incentivize watching over solving. Long sheets like A2Z and TLE have low problem diversity — you end up repeating the same patterns without variation. Competitive programmers are stronger because they practice on diverse, creative problems under pressure. Our roadmap is built from CSES, USACO, and contest-style problems handpicked by Codeforces Masters and ICPC/IOI participants — the ideas that generalize, not the patterns that get memorized.
